HSE OFFICER job in Qatar

    Creation, development and implementation of H.S.E.  (Health, Safety and Environment plans), policies, objectives and other projects that require security and control measures.

    Review and recommend procedures related to insurance.  'Worker safety'

    Provide leadership in on-site safety and ensure that the facility meets corporate safety standards.

    Ensure the integrity of projects, policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations.

    Investigate and anticipate dangerous and insecure acts or circumstances.

    Implement, strengthen and coordinate safety training for construction personnel.

    Conducting safety inspections and inspections of facilities, machinery and safety equipment.  This is to identify and solve potential hazards and to ensure that safety regulations are followed.

    - Conduct engineering and P control assessments according to standards and requirements.

    - Permission to "stop" the work if work safety and operations are adversely affected and do not comply with the project, HSE plan, contract requirements, related procedures, method data and risk assessment.

    Identify and correct risks to safety and health at work.

    Investigate occupational accidents, errors and injuries to determine their causes and implement preventive measures to prevent their recurrence.

    Provide technical advice, direction and guidance to employees on security initiatives, necessary changes, and the promotion of a climate-friendly environment.  Development of strong team spirit, good morale and cooperation.

    Responsibilities and duties:

    The HSE personnel will be on site and cover the following activities in the various areas of work:

    • Checking the contractor's performance on site.

    • Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and the use of personal protective equipment.

    • Participate in internal security audits and site audits.

    • Participate in following up the events.

    • Verify compliance with the license in the work system.

    Hiring or appointing specialists in health, safety and environmental training

    Assist health and safety experts in implementing applicable health and safety standards.

    Submit a site safety report

    • Coordinate closely with the Quality, Health and Safety Department at Ashghal regarding safety and reporting requirements to minimize any construction disruption on site.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    At least 10 years of proven experience, of which 5 years are in similar surface and groundwater network projects.

    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering / Health / Environment from an accredited university.
